Woodstock of Brassmusic

Where | Ort im Innkreis
When | 30/06/2016 ‐ 03/07/2016

The Woodstock of Brassmusic is a summer‐festival, which since 2010 takes place every year at the last weekend of June in the Austrian village of Ort im Innkreis. It is a popular brass music festival with traditional and modern brass music bands like HMBC, Innsbrucker Böhmische, Da Blechhaufn XXL and Viera Blech. Since 2015 there are even three different stages. Now you can enjoy the festival together with 25,000 other guests. In addition to the stage shows there are numerous side events known as the Wood Games. For the first time in 2015 there was a big performing session with about 5,000 participating musicians. I also performed at the festival and enjoyed it very much. I’m looking forward to next year already.

Salzburg Festival (Salzburger Festspiele)

Where | Salzburg
When | 22/07/2016 ‐ 31/08/2016

The Salzburg Festival is one of the world’s most important festivals in classical music and performing arts. It takes place every summer in July and August in the city of Salzburg and has done so since 1920. Famous Hallmarks of the festival are the performance of Everyman on the Cathedral Square, selected Mozart and Strauss performances, as well as high class opera and theatre performances. Every year more than 250,000 guests attend the festival during six weeks. In my opinion it is one of the top events in Upper Austria, but also very expensive. Bregenz Festival (Bregenzer Festspiele)

Where | Bregenz
When | 20/07/2016 ‐ 21/08/2016

The Bregenz Festival is a performing arts festival, which is held in the city of Bregenz. Bregenz is the capital of Vorarlberg, which is the most westerly federal state of Austria. Founded in 1946, the festival presents a wide variety of musical and theatrical events in several venues. The most famous venue is the floating stage, an open air amphitheater with 7,000 seats. Next year you can see Turandot from Giacomo Puccini, a lyrical drama in three acts. I have never been there, but it is still on my “to do” list because of that great location.
